Hints on making a percentage graph: First find the percent for each of the different colored m&m's, then plot them on the percentage graph that was handout 1.1 labsheet. Remember to find the number of a color divided by the total number of m&m's in the bag. For example the number of green m&m's in bag 2 is 5 out of 54. To find the percent you divide 5 by 54 . This will give you 0.0925. You then multiply this by 100 and you percent is about 9%. Now you can plot the height of the green m&m's onto your paper just 4/5 of the way between 5% and 10%. if you have a question please email me before 8:00. (kchlanda@shschools.com)
